It is with sadness and regret that ufowatchdog.com reports the passing of Russ Estes, filmmaker, producer, author, and UFO investigator. ufowatchdog.com has just learned of the passing of Estes this month, though he passed on last Januray.

Estes co-authroed such books as Faces of the Visitors, The Abduction Enigma, and The Spaceships of the Visitors: An Illustrated Guide To Alien Spacecraft, for all of which he partnered with Kevin Randle on.

A filmmaker and producer, Estes had a long interest in the paranormal and filmed a 13-part documentary on UFOs. During his travels and investigations, he came to realize there was far more talk than substance being offered. Estes was never afraid to engage a charlatan or to candidly speak his mind. While he was often referred to as a non-believer in UFOs, fact was that Estes was a veteran investigator who did indeed hold a pro-UFO view.

Unknown to ufowatchdog.com, was that Estes was a world class artist who had won many awards for his work, including best of show in an international competition that earned him a key to the city of Las Vegas.
